Insects:

Can't live with them,
but did you know you
can't live without them?

When properly introduced, insects can be a great way to spark your young patrons' interest in science. Orkin is now offering libraries the opportunity to invite a local Orkin Man – equipped with scientific knowledge on insects of every kind – to help explore the amazing insect world. The Orkin Man's fascination with bugs will be catching!

From stories that will surely leave your young patrons bug-eyed, to educational material and videos to engage the mind, Orkin can help you add some fun and excitement to your 2008 summer reading program.

The program was originally launched for schools but LibraryPalooza has contacted Orkin and confirmed that Orkin would welcome an invitation to your library. To request a visit see http://www.orkin.com/school/. Also, visit the Orkin Learning Center at http://www.orkin.com/learningcenter/ for lots of great bug stuff – some downloadable and some via mail.
